THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Schogini Systems P Ltd, the Technopark-based mobile application developer company, has roped in FIDE-ranked chess player Mohammed Salih, who is blind by birth, as their ‘Brand Ambassador - Intelligent Interfaces’. This is an attempt to take intelligent gaming strategies to teens and youngsters who are fast turning addicts to dumb and blood-thirsty games.
As
part of the new strategy, Salih challenged laser game Khet’s inventor
Luke Hooper for a game, which promises to be of epic proportions, at the
Schogini office at Leela Inforpark, on the Technopark campus on
Saturday.
Salih lost the match 1-0.
Commenting on the game, Luke Hooper said Salih had put up a brave fight
before he lost the game, which lasted more than an hour.
Schogini
Systems has charted out this unique strategy to take their intelligent
games to the masses as a leap forward in their commitment towards the
teens and young people who are reading less and spending more time in
front of a computer or on mobile phones.
The
Laser Game: Khet 2.0 was a toy of the year finalist, Mensa Select award
winner and was featured in Wired magazine late last year.
Schogini has created the mobile version of Khet for iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows Phone.
N
Sree Prakash, managing director, Schogini Systems said that technology
was advancing at an alarming rate. With smart phones being more popular
these days, it is no longer about making or receiving calls or SMS.
Instead
of blaming technology for youngsters staying glued to their mobile
phones or laptops, we should find ways to tap its potential to bring
back the youngsters from all pitfalls of technology.
Schogini
has also partnered with Don Dailey, Larry Kaufman and Luke Hooper to
implement Komodo 4, yet another top-rated chess engines AI. Schogini has
created the mobile version of Khet for iPhone, iPad, Android and
Windows Phone.
In the company’s
efforts to empower the blind, Schogini will also showcase the Talking
Chess board, Talking Chess Apps, Talking Khet Apps, Colouring App and
Seeing Apps.
